Concept for a flexible building system on sale via the Internet. Instead of offering building components (like walls, floors, etc. in different styles and colors) we created spatial elements (like box-bed, voids, utility core, etc.), which allow the clients to assemble them in different ways creating compartments with different spatial qualities.
In the context of this project we developed an extensive catalog containing building elements with spatial implications. Examples: the 'box-bed' creates a cube on the wall of the adjacent room; and the 'drive-in garage' creates a split-level.
With this catalog of spatial building elements it’s possible to sell spatiality. What would be the price of a 36m3 void?
